Citizens Enjoy Entertainment at Silang Barat Monas

Heavy rains that flushed Jakarta since afternoon apparently did not dampen the enthusiasm of residents to enjoy the New Year's Eve.

At the southwest entrance of the National Monument (Monas), Gambir, Central Jakarta, residents seemed to be enjoying the musical performances provided by the Jakarta Provincial Government.

Based on beritajakarta.id observation, the residents started to flock the area at 8 PM.

Siti (33), resident of Setiabudi, South Jakarta admitted to come to Monas to spend the night of New Year's Eve. Especially the site offers musical performance and other entertainments.

"I think it's fine even though it is raining now," she said, Tuesday (12/31).

Meanwhile, Erna (35), resident of Karawaci, Tangerang, stated similar thing. She wants to watch fireworks.

"I want to watch the fireworks with my family here," she stated.
